Music in Contemporary Art

The National Museum of Contemporary Art in Oslo is now exhibiting "I Wish This Was A Song. Music in Contemporary Art". More than 40 artists filling two floors of the museum with works created within the last generation. The museum quotes trumpeter and visual artist Rob Mazurek, saying "The sound you do not hear but see, and the visual you cannot see but hear, is the work."



One of my favorite pieces is "Bicycle Samba", a short video by Sophie Clements. Here, UK musician John Hendicott playfully discovers that bicycles can be used for more than just bicycling...
